Again…..
Mon Aug 11

Back from my UK vacations, a whole day driving around France and Spain.
Sat Aug 09

Slowly decaying since it stopped to be operational, one of the many airfields scattered around Lincolnshire UK, which supported bomber command operations with great sacrifice of people and resources, that are slowly dissapering.
Thanfully RAF Metheringham has a visitor center which carries the memory of the airfield, even when those old derelict buildings will fade away in time, the visitor center will carry the history of this and many other airfields that aren’t going to survive the time.

How different this is from Spain, on the fence looking at the runway with your car waiting for the jets…. If only…..

At Lincoln in Lincolnshire UK, the bomber county, where in every couple of miles there is an active or abandoned RAF base, my kind of town :)
Apart from that a beautiful and friendly part of UK where I love to stay.

I’ve been to a celebration today at EADS CASA in Getafe, Madrid to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the flight of the Breguet XIX GR (Gran Raid) Super-Bidón christened “Cuatro Vientos” in which in 1933 Mariano Barberán and Joaquin Collar made the first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean from Madrid to Cuba

At last got my Hassie after some long time lurking on ebay and waiting for its arrival, I think this relation is going to last long, still shooting my first roll with many more to come!

Leaving to RIAT today and what a especial one, my beloved Vulcan is going be flying, just when I thought it was going to be one of those cases of never seeing her flying again (or never for the case), so it means that you never know what life would bring you and that some planes should never stop flying. Expect only minimal Twitter activity in the following days.

Another take on how to jump the creative gap or why digital photography makes photographers dumb, the situation described on the post brings me the point on my reasons to embrace analog photography along with digital.
First I must say that is not only about the coolness and magic of film, although is definitely on the list ;) is about going back to the basics of photography and thinking before shooting. This thinking and learning process really helps to improve your photography in general and of course your digital photography, but let’s cut the chase, here are some real points of improvement:
Mixing all that with the fast and tweakable nature of digital photography really expands your abilities as a photographer, whether this method is better or faster than the no limits shooting of digital photography is a whole new discussion but I can only say that at least the analog one is a lot more rewarding and enjoyable.

Creative Gap, who doesn’t suffers it? Apart from the great recomendations and examples that Chase Jarvis provides in his post, here are my two euro cents on how to try overcoming it:
- Jot your ideas and feelings on the project, helps to conceptualize and go back to the “drawing board”.
- Draw schemas and story boards, after all the more graphical the better when on spot.
- Planing is great, but after all the real world and moment is what matters, so trial and error is the best way, especially if you aren’t constrained.
- Don’t throw anything away, revisiting projects always gives a new light into the problems.

Being pondering around the new Canon 50D and only one thing pops in my mind...Canon time to replace the damn 5D!!!
After using chrome for some days now, it feels less browser features and more like a web applications platform.
Using chrome, so far so good, but experience doesn't differ much from FF
